There are currently no charges for land for settlement on Pitcairn Island

A new migrant may, from within 6 months of arrival at Pitcairn, apply to the Pitcairn Island Council for use of Council land on which to build a home.

History of Land

Legislation now aims at ensuring that every permanent resident of Pitcairn Island shall be entitled to an allocation of house, garden, orchard and forestry land

Applying for Land

New migrants who have been approved for Settlement can apply to the Pitcairn Island Council for land on which to build a home within 6 months of arrival at Pitcairn.

Building a Home

Pitcairn’s current population is less than 50 people and there are many beautiful potential building locations on the island.
When you get to Pitcairn you will be able take a good look around and share information with the locals about possible locations to on which to build your home.
